Elkem announces silicone price increases in Europe and the Americas

Lyon, France – 24 April 2026 – Elkem today announced a price increase across its silicone product portfolio for customers in Europe and the Americas, effective immediately or as contracts allow. The price adjustment ranges from 10% to 30%, depending on product categories and market segments. The measure applies to Elkem’s silicone products supplied to customers in the specified regions.

News 24.04.2026

The decision reflects a sustained increase in Elkem’s cost base, driven by inflation in key raw materials and chemical intermediates, higher energy and utility costs, and continued pressure on transportation and logistics. Additional cost impacts include packaging, labour, asset maintenance, and ongoing volatility in global supply chains.

While Elkem efficiency initiatives have helped offset part of the cost increases to date, sustained inflationary pressures now require pricing adjustments. The measure aligns with broader pricing dynamics across the silicone industry, as manufacturers adapt to structurally higher input costs.

Elkem continues to invest in the safety, reliability and maintenance of its industrial operations, as well as in the longterm performance and sustainability of its silicone production assets. These investments are essential to maintaining security of supply and consistent product quality.
